Chatteris entertained Whittlesey down cromwell today on a very windy day!
the lads chose to go against the wind in the first half so the 2nd half was easier, and it paid off. Chatteris dominated the first half with extremely hard work to keep the ball and had plenty of shots and opportunities to keep the goalkeeper happy. Whittlesey had there chances with their quick no.7 but failed to finish with ross being solid again in goal and good defending from sam and oli. h/t 0-0
2nd half came and chatteris came out dominant once again, with the wind behind them, the lads could make some really good runs and not the ball about at a good pace. The first goal came when ed got the ball on the half way line and ran down the right flank, then knocked a great ball across into the path of sam sutton who knocked it past the advancing keeper to put the boys ahead. With 10mins to go, a few changes were made, including brandon controlling the right wing and Charlie going back into defence with oli and it seemed to pay off as a long ball flew straight over to cam, who was up top, which he tipped over the keeper head to secure a 2nd win in a row.
Another good performance from every player on the team and good work against a strong wind
M.O.M went to Ed for tracking back and winning the ball and some good passing. |
