26/07/2005 - Happy Birthday
The CTYFC website is two years old on Saturday July 30. We have had over 45,000 hits in that time and will go past 50,000 in the next month or so.
Things are pretty quite at the moment but once the season kicks in  the new site will grow bigger and better.
That growth depends on all teams contributing there own team results information match reports photos etc.

26/07/2005 - Tigers meet Ely City U18
The Fen Tigers meet Ely City U18 in a friendly at The Sportsman Wednesday 6:30 KO.

Its a first run out for both sides and a chance to gauge how the pre season training is going. Ely City will be playing in the Ridgeons under 18 league next season. The Tigers have adopted a youth policy for the coming season and we all wish them every success.

05/07/2005 - Peacocks Paddock

All the goals mouths at the Paddock have been returfed ready for the new season. Please avoid playing close to the fenced of areas so the new turf has time to knit.
A huge amount of games get played out on these pitches over a season and we can help ourseleves by avoiding training in the goal mouth areas.
The same is true of pre match warm ups. Stay out of the goal areas. These small measures will go along way to help keep a good playing surface throughout the year.

02/07/2005 - welcome to the new CTYFC website

A decision was made to make the site a lot more flexible with the Chairman, secretary, team managers fundrasiers etc able to add and maintain their own pages and add news items photographs etc whenever they see fit.

I was hoping to hand the control over to somebody else to administer the site but nobody else stepped forward. So I will continue but hopefully with less of a work load. The new site will not look as good as the old one because of imposed restrictions   but the ability to call up information stats  and post, edit your own stuff etc will be alot better.

There is no need for anything more technical  than being able to click and use a mouse to update the site. We will organise a evening in the near future at Mark's office to run a quick introductory course on his computers for anybody who wants to run and update their own teams stats info news etc . Please do not be frightend off if computers are Alien to you. It is simple to do.

We will have to introduce a few basic  ground rules about keeping text size, colour, photograph sizes uniform through out the site. but apart from that training sessions times, KO times, photograhs, league tables, MOM, goal scorers match reports anything to do with your team can be added to the site.

30/06/2005 - Abbey at Abbey Stadium
Congratulations ABBEY BROWN

I Have just heard some great news!! Abbey Brown attended trials over the past 3 weeks for Cambridge Utd., Centre of Excellence & has been offered a place in the (U14's) Squad.

Although Abbey has been playing for Cambridge Utd. for the past 2 years, she has still been able to play for Chatteris.

However, Cambridge Utd. have made the decision
to go full time football this year, playing in a league & signing just 16 talented girls for the squad.

This is fantastic news for Abbey, however, unfortunately for Chatteris, this means that Abbey is prevented from playing for them next season.
